So this was Beyonce’s big return to Coachella. She headlined Saturday night, arguably the most important night of the three-day weekend, and got nothing but praise from the mainstream media like the New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times.
Early reports were correct: Beyonce’s production was very larger. She had a full-sized marching band with her, there were snare drummers, steppers, a live brass section.
If you ask me, it was all window dressing. Over compensating for a limited vocalist who hasn’t really had a catchy tune since Drunk in Love. It would be nice to hear really sing live, but this appearence was more to make a statement.
